Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is Rotary International’s leadership training program for young people. RYLA emphasizes leadership, citizenship, and personal growth, and aims to:
- Demonstrate Rotary’s respect and concern for youth
- Provide an effective training experience for selected youth and potential leaders
- Encourage leadership of youth by youth
- Recognize publicly young people who are rendering service to their communities
Each year, our club sponsors high school students to attend RYLA at Camp Manito-wish in the Fall. The program is targeted to high school sophomores and juniors in NE Wisconsin and the UP of Michigan and is facilitated by Rotary District 6220. Our students and Rotarian participants say that this life-changing experience builds inner strength and lasting friendships.
