Notes from last Monday's meeting – Dec. 19:
Our speaker was Robert Guyette, De Pere High School teacher and editor of “High School Life”, a book of essays written by 14 De Pere HS students. We also heard from three of the student authors. Signed copies of the book were given to Rotary members. Thank you, Robert!

Update Your Photo and Contact Information
Is your photo and contact information up to date? Members can update their profiles at www.rotary.org: Go to "My Rotary", click on “Edit Profile”, make your changes, click “Save”. You can also update your contact information in DACdb. At www.dacdb.com, click on "My Club" tab, click the pencil icon to edit), click on the tabs you'd like to update, click the yellow "Update" button at the top right of the screen. Nominations Open for Rotarian of the Year
The Rotarian of the Year award recognizes a Rotarian who has made a significant impact in supporting and strengthening the Rotary Club of Green Bay. Any active member of the Rotary Club of Green Bay is eligible. Nominations must be submitted on this form. Deadline is Feb. 6, 2017.
Nominations Open for Free Enterprise Award
The Rotary Club of Green Bay is now accepting nominations for the annual Free Enterprise Award. In addition to honoring an outstanding leader of the Green Bay community, the event also serves as the primary fundraiser for the Green Bay Rotary Club’s Local Foundation. The Foundation provides financial support to many local non-profit organizations with its emphasis on youth, education and health. Nominations can be submitted here. The deadline for nominations is Jan. 13, 2017. The awards banquet will be held May 15, 2017.
Register Now for the Centennial Celebration
Please join the Rotary Club of Green Bay in celebrating 100 years at the Rotary Club of Green Bay Centennial Celebration, Friday, March 17, 2017 at the KI Convention Center, 333 Main Street, Green Bay, WI. 5:30 p.m.: Refreshments, hors d’oeuvres and centennial cake. 7 p.m: Brief program featuring special RI representative. Big band music provided by the John Salerno Band Formal invitations are being sent, but tickets can be purchased early for $50 per person here or by calling 920-465-2226.
Registration is Open for District Governor Conference
The Rotary District 6220 District Governor conference registration link is now open. The conference is May 20, 2017 at the KI Convention Center. Register now! Go to DACdb, go to calendar, scroll down to Rotary International District Governor. Or you can reply to the email mailed to you on Dec. 9 from Lisa Vanderkelen. The conference fee is $10 plus whatever meals you choose.
