Notes from last Monday's meeting - Dec. 12:
Our speaker was Matthew Hunsaker, MD, the founding dean for the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) - Green Bay. Dr. Hunsaker provides overall leadership and management of MCW’s regional campus in Green Bay.
- Monday, Dec. 19, 12 - 1 p.m. Speaker: Robert Guyette, Author. Please arrive early so you can have your picture taken for the “I am a Rotarian” campaign.
No meetings on Dec. 26 and Jan. 2 due to the holidays.
Monday, Jan. 9, 12 - 1 p.m. Monthly food drive. Bring your non-perishable food items.

Nominations Open for Rotarian of the Year
The Rotarian of the Year award recognizes a Rotarian who has made a significant impact in supporting and strengthening the Rotary Club of Green Bay. Any active member of the Rotary Club of Green Bay is eligible. Nominations must be submitted on this form . Deadline is Feb. 6, 2017.
The Rotary Club of Green Bay is now accepting nominations for the annual Free Enterprise Award. In addition to honoring an outstanding leader of the Green Bay community, the event also serves as the primary fundraiser for the Green Bay Rotary Club’s Local Foundation. The Foundation provides financial support to many local non-profit organizations with its emphasis on youth, education and health. Nominations can be submitted here. The deadline for nominations is Jan. 13, 2017. The awards banquet will be held May 15, 2017.
Register Now for the Centennial Celebration
Please join the Rotary Club of Green Bay in celebrating 100 years at the Rotary Club of Green Bay Centennial Celebration, Friday, March 17, 2017 at the KI Convention Center, 333 Main Street, Green Bay, WI. 5:30 p.m.: Refreshments, hors d’oeuvres and centennial cake. 7 p.m: Brief program featuring special RI representative. Big band music provided by the John Salerno Band Formal invitations are being sent, but tickets can be purchased early for $50 per person here or by calling 920-465-2226.
Registration is Open for District Governor Conference
The Rotary District 6220 District Governor conference registration link is now open. The conference is May 20, 2017 at the KI Convention Center. Register now! Go to DACdb, go to calendar, scroll down to Rotary International District Governor. Or you can reply to the email mailed to you on Dec. 9 from Lisa Vanderkelen. The conference fee is $10 plus whatever meals you choose.

Stay Up-to-Date With Your Makeups
Don't forget to post your make-up meetings on the club web page under your name under the "My data”. What qualifies for a make-up? And committee, board or foundation meeting you attend, along with participating in any club volunteer activity. Right now only a few of our club members are posting their make-ups. We need every member to start doing this for our attendance count. Here’s how: Go to the website: www.greenbayrotary.com. Click on the "Member Access” tab and then "DACdb” in the pull-down menu. Log in with your member name and password. Click on "My DATA”. Under your photo, click on "Enter Makeup”.

If you want to invite our exchange student, Lara, on an overnight event throughout the holidays or at other times, please contact Steve Mastilar to get clearance from Rotary in advance of the event/overnight.
