Christmas Tree Jubilee
To raise funds for advocacy and support of Connect, Inc., several club members decorated a Christmas tree on Nov. 19 in the theme of "Bobbers and Burlap.” The gala was held Nov. 22 at Vandervest Harley-Davidson. Pictured below decorating the tree are, from left: Lara Temelci, Katie Quasius and Miranda Bonde.
Support Jhoole at the YWCA Gala on December 2
From Grace Meyer: I’m excited to share this news with you! Jhoole will be at the YWCA Gala on December 2! Since both Jhoole and the YWCA are in the business of empowering women, it seems like a natural partnership. Perhaps I’ll see some Rotarians at the Gala!
Get to Know Lara
From Steve Mastalir: We encourage anyone to consider including Lara Temelci, our exchange student from Turkey, on a trip or other event to help with her educational experience while with us in Green Bay. Please contact her new host mother, Betse Macco 920- 336-3369 to make arrangements. As our club’s Rotary Youth Exchange Officer, I need to be contacted several days in advance to make sure we are getting proper authorizations if anyone wants to take Lara on more than a day trip, which is defined as leave in morning, back by evening. The host family is aware of this and may ask you if that has been done. Lara is a 16-year-old high school student, so please consider including her with what you might be doing with your children or grandchildren of a similar age. Thanks.
