Dear Green Bay Rotarians,
Last Monday we had a presentation from Holly Williams, of PMI, who presented an overview of the Tall Ships Festival coming to Green Bay July 26th – 28th , Sturgeon Bay on July 29th and Algoma on July 30th. PMI entertainment Group, Nicolet National Bank and Greater Green Bay Convention & Visitors Bureau expect a large turnout. In 2016 the festival drew 60,000 people and contributed $4.4 million to the local economy.
This Monday we will present our third Community Service Award to Sgt. Tom Denney of the Green Bay Police Department. Tom is a ten-year veteran with the force and one of four officers who were recently promoted to Sergeant, - a position that has not been part of the department in over two decades. Tom is also a Field Training Supervisor, a member of the Dive Team (I must ask about that!) and a negotiator on the Swat Team. I am sure he has many stories to tell! ..........
