Community Service Award -

This Monday, March 11th, The Rotary Club of Green Bay will present its second Community Service Award presentation. The Award will go to Green Bay Police Officers Craig Carlson and Mark Strojny.

The Community Service Award was created by the Rotary Club to highlight officers who influence others and inspire others to make the City of Green Bay a great place to live, work, and raise a family. Together, Officer Carlson and Strojny have close to 40 years of Public Safety experience. They patrol neighborhoods on department bicycles engaging residents and learning about the concerns and problems of Green Bay neighborhoods. They also go out of their way to engage the youth of the community. They join in playing basketball, working with summer programs and being part of the “Safe Parks Initiative.”

Please we want your input!!

Celebrating Free Enterprise Award Recipients and the Rotary Club of Green Bay in STONE!!

Rotary Club of Green Bay in STONE

Sometime great ideas come in big packages, as was an idea presented to Green Bay Rotary Club’s Board a few months ago. What if we could honor our FEA recipients and our 100th anniversary of Rotary Club of Green Bay, by erecting a monument set in a public Green Bay location?

And there you have it. With the dedicated work of a couple of Rotary Club members and the generous support from the Van Gemert Memorials, the Rotary Club of Green Bay will unveil a six foot wide, five foot high stone monument etched with the names of all of our FEA recipients (with room for more). The unveiling will be held on May 20, 2019, the morning of our annual FEA dinner.
This six-sided monument will have places at the bottom-base for five Green Bay Rotary inscriptions. What should they be? We want your input.!At present the following have been suggested:

“Service Above Self”
The 4 Way Test
Green Bay Rotary Club
The Object of Rotary
Eradication of Polio
People of Action (just added)

These transcriptions will help the Green Bay public understand our Rotary message. Please send me your thoughts. (jwallace4923@gmail.com).
